This week there has been a mixture of limited floor debate, sub-committee work and committee work. On Tuesday evening we debated HF 2110, which would allow the spouse of a military member to receive unemployment benefits for voluntarily quitting their job if the reason for quitting due to the relocation of the military member by the military. I voted against this bill because it was poorly written and too broad in its coverage. This bill could have been a bi-partisan bill if it had went through the proper committee and would have been more narrowly defined. HF 2110 passed with 55 yes and 44 no votes.
